Platinum Jubilee: Timetable of planned events for Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

5:30pm – The Epsom Derby – a passionate fan of horses, the Queen was due to attend one of the UK’s most famous horse races, the Epsom Derby, but she no longer plans to do so in order to ‘pace herself’ throughout the Jubilee weekend.

Instead, the Queen’s daughter – Princess Anne – is expected to attend on the Her Majesty’s behalf and up to 40 past and present jockeys who have ridden for the Queen are due to form a guard of honour.

The Queen will no doubt still be keeping a close eye on the day’s events as one of her own horses has been entered to race on Saturday.

8pm – Platinum Party at the Palace concert – Broadcasting live on the BBC, the concert will see mega stars from across the entertainment world join in the celebrations.

Mabel, Celeste, George Ezra, Ella Eyre and Eurovision singer Sam Ryder will all be at the party to mark the Queen’s 70 years of reign.
